I am thrilled to announce that my work is included in a recently published peer-reviewed journal, tba: Journal of Art, Media, and Visual Culture. This issue is full of great work from many artists and writers and showcases a myriad of ideas about plastic and its pernicious hold on our society. My contribution includes images and writing about my project, Surface all the way through. Check out the entire journal here. If you are in the London, Ontario region, check out the exhibition opening and issue release event happening on February 29, 2024. I have included a PDF file of my contribution below :) ![]()

On September 9th, 2023 I installed a small selection of my work in a greenhouse in Calgary, AB. in a greenhouse is an ongoing exhibition series curated by Logan Lape and I was thrilled to be a part of it.
It was on view for a gorgeous afternoon in a residential area in Calgary where many great times were had. Thanks to everyone who came to check it out! As part of the exhibition, there was a limited edition run of risograph postcards printed by Yolkless Press with a beautiful poem written by Eliza Fernand that was created in response to my work and a conversation we shared about art, craft, plastic, and life. I am excited to announce that I have installed a brand new collection of work, Surface all the way through, at Neutral Ground Artist-run-centre in Regina, SK.
This exhibition is created entirely from plastic waste and abandoned craft supplies collected from the thrift store. Check out the Sculpture section to see more photos! This show is on view until July 31, 2023. I am excited to announce that a version of my exhibition, Surface all the way through, will be travelling throughout Saskatchewan from now until June 2025 through the OSAC program.
If you find yourself in a smaller centre in this beautiful province between now and then, check it out! Please follow this link if you want more information about dates and locations. There is also an education guide for this exhibition that can be accessed here. XOXO Check out the TREX SW hallway gallery to see an installation of Fascination Station.
I also hosted a Trash Flowers workshop on March, 18th and have included some images of that process. This exhibition is on view until April 5, 2023. You can find it in the Alberta Society of Artists Gallery located in Crossroads Market in Calgary! I have a few exclusive new artworks for sale in the Shop at The Southern Alberta Art Gallery in Lethbridge. You can shop online or in person!
Photo by Angeline Simon Head over to the Galleries West website to check out a great essay written by Tyler Stewart about my new show "Surface All The Way Through".
Surface All the Way Through opens at Casa in Lethbridge, AB on April 16th! Reception is on the 16th from 7-9pm.I am so excited to share images of this project with you all! This Garbage Can Cozy and Bench Cozy were created as part of Umbrella Projects in Sackville, NB: a joint venture between Struts Gallery and the Owens Art Gallery at Mount Allison University aimed at helping artists to realize their dream projects during the pandemic.
These custom knitted cozies were installed on existing infrastructure in a public park in Sackville and were fully put to use during the one month install period. The seat of the bench was cushioned with a pad I made from plastic packaging waste and clear PVC. My goal with this project was to insert some visual excitement and laboured care into a situation that is usually so standardized and lacking of either. Hopefully more of these installations can come to fruition in the future... stay tuned! I have a piece in the 2021 edition of The Works Art & Design Festival in Edmonton, AB. It is on view at Churchill Square from July 7-17, 2021. Check out some content on their website here.
